Jackson Parish – Press Release

Daniel W. Newell, District Attorney for the Second Judicial District in and for the Parish of Jackson makes the following announcement relative to disposition of cases in Jackson Parish as indicated:

7-31-18

CHRISTIAN BOWEN – Pled guilty to Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling and was sentenced to 2 years hard labor.  This sentence was suspended and he was placed on 2 years supervised probation. He also pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 3 years hard labor, with 2 years suspended.  He was placed on 3 years felony probation.  These sentenced are to run consecutive to each other. The defendant was ordered to pay fines and costs.

DEAUNTREZ BROWN – Pled guilty to Possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and sentenced to 18 months hard labor and given credit for time served.  The sentence will run concurrent with another sentence he is currently serving.

JONATHAN KULYESHIE – Pled guilty to Possession Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. He was sentenced to 2 years hard labor.

AMANDA LEWIS – Pled guilty to Possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance.  She was sentenced to 1 year at hard labor.  The sentence was suspended and she was placed on 2 years supervised probation.   The defendant was ordered to pay fines and costs.

KENNETH RONALD MARTIN, III – Pled guilty to Possession Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Resisting an Officer with Force or Violence. He was sentenced to 1 year at hard labor on each count to run concurrent.  The defendant was given credit for time served.

CRYSTAL QUALLS – Pled guilty to one count of Forgery and was sentenced to 2 years hard labor.  This sentence was suspended and she was placed on 2 years supervised probation.  The defendant was ordered to pay fines and costs.

JIMMIE W. THOMPSON – Pled guilty to Possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and sentenced to 18 months hard labor.  The Defendant was given credit for time served.

BLAKE TIMS – Pled guilty to Possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, sentenced to 18 months hard labor, suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.  The defendant was ordered to pay fines and costs.

CHRISTOPHER TYLER – Pled guilty to Simple Burglary was sentenced to 4 years hard labor.  The sentence is to run concurrent with his probation revocation time.

CIERA WEIR – Pled guilty to Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, sentenced to 2 years hard labor, suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.  The defendant was ordered to pay fines and costs.

MARY WIGLEY – Pled guilty to Possession of a Legend Drug.  She was sentenced to 18 months hard labor, suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.  The defendant was ordered to pay fines and costs.

BRITTNEY MAGGIO – Pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance.  She was sentenced to 18 months hard labor, suspended and placed on 2 years supervised probation.  The Defendant was ordered to pay fines and costs.

ANGELA FRITH – Pled guilty to Possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months hard labor. The sentence was suspended. She was placed on 18 months supervised probation.  The defendant was ordered to pay fines and costs.
