Jackson Parish – Press Release

Daniel W. Newell, District Attorney in and for the Second Judicial District, issues the following press release regarding the session of criminal court held April 29 and May 4, 2021:

DANIEL HARVEY – Pled guilty to Count 1 Possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Methamphetamine) and Count 2 Possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Hydrocodone).    He was sentenced to two years at hard labor on count 1 and 1 year at hard labor on count 2, consecutive to each other and any other sentence he may be serving.  He was given credit for time served.  The sentence was not suspended.  He was remanded to the Department of Corrections to continue serving his sentence.

CAMERON HICKS – Pled guilty to Count 1 Possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Methamphetamine) and Count 2 Possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Amphetamine).    He was sentenced to two years at hard labor/suspended, 2 years active supervised probation and required to pay fine and cost to the sheriff’s office.

SHONETTE HUBER – Pled guilty to felony theft. She was sentenced to 2 years at hard labor/suspended, 2 years active supervised probation and required to pay fine and cost to the sheriff’s office.

CARLOS JENKINS – Pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute Schedule I controlled dangerous substance (Marijuana).  He was sentenced to 5 years at hard labor/suspended, 3 years active supervised probation and required to pay fine and cost to the sheriff’s office.

MOVIALENE WILSON MILLER – Pled guilty to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Methamphetamine).  She was sentenced to 18 months at hard labor/suspended, 18 months active supervised probation and required to pay fine and cost to the sheriff’s office.

ANTHONY MARTIN – Pled guilty to possession of Schedule III controlled dangerous substance (Suboxone).  He was sentenced to 18 months at hard labor/suspended, 18 months active supervised probation and required to pay fine and cost to the sheriff’s office.

BILLY PAUL MOSS – Pled guilty to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Methamphetamine) and possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Amphetamine).  He was sentenced to 18 months at hard labor/suspended, 18 months active supervised probation and required to pay fine and cost to the sheriff’s office.

CHASTA RASBERRY – Pled guilty to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Methamphetamine).  She was sentenced to 18 months at hard labor/suspended, 18 months active supervised probation and required to pay fine and cost to the sheriff’s office.

WILLARD TODD ROBINSON – Pled guilty to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Methamphetamine). He was sentenced to 2 years at hard labor/suspend 1 year, 2 years active supervised probation and required to pay fine and cost to the sheriff’s office.

ALAINA SPRUELL – Pled guilty to possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (Methamphetamine).  She was sentenced to 7 months without hard labor, credit for time served, concurrent with her sentence in Lincoln Parish.  

DEON WRIGHT, JR. – Pled guilty to possession of firearm by a convicted felon. He was sentenced to 7 years at hard labor.  Concurrent to any other sentence serving, credit for time served.  He was remanded to the Department of Corrections to continue serving his sentence. 

MARTAVIOUS WYATT – Pled guilty to simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, in which he was sentenced to 3 years at hard labor.  He also pled guilty to second degree battery, in which he was sentenced to 3 years at hard labor, credit for time served. All to run concurrent with any other sentence he may be serving, credit for time served.  He was remanded to the Department of Corrections to continue serving his sentence.
